Surviva 6 Life Raft

Surviva 6 Life Raft

REVERE's Surviva life rafts are renowned for their uncompromising quality and design sophistication. In addition to meeting the requirements of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1983, as amended, the Surviva is manufactured to NATO AQAP 1 quality standard and holds approvals from most major international marine authorities, including United States Coast Guard, and UK Department of Trade. Today, there are over 40,000 Surviva life rafts in service on commercial, naval and fishing vessels worldwide.

Double buoyancy chambers are manufactured from a specially formulated polyurethane (PU) proofed nylon fabric. This fabric is highly resistant to abrasion and impervious to corrosion in the marine environment. It is far more durable than rubber-based fabrics, and the reduced need for repairs results in considerable savings in servicing costs. Welded seams, which are significantly stronger than glued seams, give the raft an extremely rugged construction.

Inflated, the Surviva is capable of withstanding repeated jumps by survivors from a height of 15 feet while its tough, rigid container may be dropped from a height of up to 120 feet without damage. 25 men can be dropped from a height of up to 150 feet.

For optimum visibility, the Surviva's canopy has a bright orange exterior and incorporates retro-reflective strips. The drycell automatic sealight meets the SOLAS 2-mile visibility requirement and exceeds the recommended life duration of 12 hours. To conserve energy, the light can be switched off during the day.

The Surviva's advanced stability system is achieved by rapidly deploying, high volume, weighted water pockets on the underside of the floor which stabilizes the raft even when it's empty. The increased strength and efficiency of the uniquely designed anti-tangle sea anchor, and the aero-dynamics of the canopy, help to keep the raft on the water. A righting strap on the underside of the floor assists in righting the raft should inverted deployment occur in extreme conditions.
